For my A2 Media Coursework I have been assigned to create a film poster, trailer and magazine with a partner of my choice. All of these assignments are based around any genre of our choice; this means both my partner and I have to use conventions and techniques to make it clear to audiences what our genre is.
I am working with Melissa Doyle, I have chosen Melissa as I have worked well with her previously on AS Level coursework- creating an opening to a horror film. We co-operated at ease with each other and contributed ideas that worked well together. We know each others strengths and weaknesses, and know how to organise around these to discover what roles we shall employ, through this communication we previously created a successful opening and was pleased with our final outcome, this platform should help us when creating a film poster, film magazine cover and a trailer.
We have started to generate a few of our ideas, we are interested in using the idea of a 'psycho man', usually known as the human monster. In contrast, we are also interested in portraying an extreme youth culture, whereby violence, gun crime and promiscuity is used to portray the life of young teenagers in this generation. We are focused on using one of these ideas to generate a successful film trailer.
